Wordplay Coffee was founded by Megan Milstead, whose journey in coffee began with over five years of experience working in specialty coffee shops in Houston, Texas. Megan holds a business marketing degree from Texas A&M University and draws inspiration from Houston's vibrant coffee community, where she honed her craft and developed a passion for the ways coffee can bring people together.

After moving to Durango, Colorado, Megan created Wordplay Coffee as a space to serve exceptional coffee, showcase creative specialty drink menus, and support the local LGBTQ+ community.
